ATTRIBUTE DESCRIPTION : Field Name Comments HUC USGS hydrologic unit code BASIN Name of basin WBID Unique water body identifier number Mapid Number used for labeling water body on map Huc_name Name of USGS Hydrologic Units Priority WMD Water Management District District DEP Regulatory District Tmdl_year Year in which TMDLs are to be completed for waterbodies according to a consent decree containing a TMDL development schedule Basincycle Bureau of Watershed Management Basin Management Cycle year Parameter Impairment(s) that failed Water Quality standards. 2nd_Paramater A second impairment of special concern. This dataset consists of the 303(d) listed impaired waters for the State of Florida. The State will use this list to aid in planning for the development of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) for each pollutant of concern for water segments on the 303(d) list. A TMDL is the amount of pollutant that a waterbody can receive and still meet applicable water quality standards and its designated use. The 303(d) list is derived from information in the 305(b) report. EXPLANATION OF PROCEDURES USED TO TRANSFORM THE DATA : The WBID is the unique identifier for each of the waterbodies. The numbers under each of the water quality parameters (ex: turb) are the annual medians that are found in the Impaired Waters Rule (IWR) report. (Creation of the 2002 303(d) dataset) The base 2002 303(d) dataset was created from the FDEP Waterbody Identification layer stored in an ArcGIS geodatabase. Polygon topology was created with a cluster tolerance of 0.004096 meters. (See WDIB metadata for a full description of creation documentation) DBASE tables (containing summaries of chemical and biological data) from the 305b report were joined to the attribute table of the geodatabase in ArcGIS. WBID was used as the joinitem. For a full description of the attribute table contact Matthew Foss. The joined data was exported as a shapefile for distribution.
Inserted into ArcSDE from shapefile obtained from Matt Foss.
