The Florida Natural Areas Inventory (FNAI), in partnership with the U.S.-based nonprofit NatureServe, is excited to unveil the Florida Map of Biodiversity Importance, built on a smart-technology platform and providing the latest synthesis of information on conservation priorities for the state's most vulnerable plant and animal species.

This map is derived from NatureServe's national Map of Biodiversity of Importance for the contiguous United States.
